Hello My Lovelies!
Yes, I know...I've been gone. But Friends, we all know that real life calls sometimes and we bloggers have to put our fun hobbies on hold and concentrate on staying afloat, and that's just what I was doing. Finding and switching to a new job especially around the busy holiday season is enough to scramble anybody, so I had to focus my energies to get these things done. No worries, though...I'm back and check out the goodies I have!
I'm sure most of you beauty mavens have heard that one of my favorite cosmetic lines, EyesLipsFace (E.L.F.) have started featuring a ton of their products in none other than...

Yes, Target, a.k.a. "Heaven On Earth".
E.L.F. has some great products! I have lip glosses, eye shadows, eye liners, a brush set (I absolutely LOOOVE that brush set)...almost anything you can name all from E.L.F. (whom I affectionately call simply "elf"). And the best thing about their products I've found so far is how affordable they are. You can get great stuff from them without coming anywhere near breaking your bank account. So imagine how happy I was when they announced they'd be featuring their stuff in Target! I can pick up fun E.L.F. beauty bargains when I go to buy laundry detergent, tights & dress or a DVD from "The Red Dot Boutique"! Awesome!
The last time I was there I was looking for a notebook and of course I stopped to check for polish and saw this adorable little gift set:

So of course I bought it. Of all the E.L.F. products I own and use regularly, I've never used their polishes. Perfect for me to try and profile here on 52Flavors.com.

"Royal Purple"
For $1.00 polishes, these are pretty darn good. Each bottle has .35 fl.oz of polish, so you do get about $1.00 worth. The formula is just a wee bit thick for my tastes, and the brush and top are kind of janky (clumsy to handle), but they only need 2 coats to reach bottle color and they are gorgeous once they go on! Just pretty, pretty, PRETTY!! I honestly did not expect the color to be so vibrant. Even the white polish, "Pearl" was totally wearable alone. A lot of pearl-esque white polishes I've encountered turn out to be only good for layering or you need 3-4 coats to get even close to opaque. I think I'll be using that white for a quirky Holiday design!
This set was $3.00 and would make a very nice inexpensive gift for a friend or co-worker in an office Secret Santa exchange. Try these polishes out. They have a lot of pretty colors and I'd say they're worth it. You have to go Target anyway, right?
Thanks for reading,
