My First Halloween Nail Art with "Candy Corn" by Cover Girl

Greetings, Lacquer Lovers!

I used one of the non-boring colors I was able to find by Cover Girl to create my first Halloween mani ever!

I decided to take the name of the polish, "Candy Corn" seriously and do a design inspired by that dreadful candy! Bleh! I never did like that stuff, not even as a kid. Then again, I didn't like a LOT of stuff as a kid (not much has changed in my adult life, to be honest! *lol*)

I polished my nail all white with a white by Sally Hansen (sorry, I don't remember the name, but I'm sure any white polish would do) then layered "Candy Corn" over "Lemon Drops" by Barielle on top of it. My daughter was quick to remind me that the white belonged at the tip. I told her to look at it upside down! I topped the artsy nails with a glitter by Cover Girl called "Ruby Sparkle". I don't know why it's called that because there was nothing at all "ruby" about it. *shrug*

Anyways, here is the end result! Don't mind my ashy, dry hand, that's just the acetone doing what it does! lol! Check it out:

"Candy Corn" is a nice orange creme polish if you're looking for one and not at all expensive coming from Rite Aid and all. It went on smoothly and took about 3 coats to match bottle opacity. It looks kind of dull once dry so definitely use some sort of top coat to get that glossy shine poppin'! If Cover Girl came up with some more interesting colors, I'd probably buy them more often.
